quarter one update 2021

MediaCast Team April 2021

After a relaxing holiday break, the MediaCast team entered 2021 full steam ahead.

In the last three months, we have celebrated some incredible wins and cannot wait to see what the rest of 2021 has instore. Despite the news agenda pulling its usual tricks (oh COVID how we love you), this didn’t stop the team re-developing pitch strategies and creatives to suit.

The numbers are in
We’re proud to report that we’ve achieved major media cut through for our clients this quarter. Our team has delivered campaigns across TV, radio, print, digital and social channels, securing more than 1,500 items of coverage and communicating our clients’ key messages to over 37 million Aussies.

You must be new around here
As our team continues to grow, we’ve welcomed two new team members to the MediaCast family which will see exciting growth and strengthened relationships with the media and our clients.

In March we welcomed our fabulous new Senior Account Executive, Amy! Amy brings with her a wealth of knowledge having worked with some of the best in the business in her previous PR roles in London.  Her key responsibilities include managing campaigns for her clients; the first campaign she delivered for us was a New Zealand Radio Day! Amy is particularly talented at producing creative ideas and for her excellent writing! She is always charming and fun, cracking jokes and entertaining the office with her travel stories from across the globe! Amy is a wonderful addition to the team, and we can’t wait to see what she will achieve. Welcome Amy!

We also welcomed our freshest PR graduate and new Communications Coordinator, Megan! Megan is responsible for being across all our campaigns and ensuring that our team is supported in any way she can. This works well as she has a great love of Marie Kondo style organisation! With a love for social media, videography and writing, Megan certainly is a passionate communicator. She loves to discuss anything K-pop or food related at any given moment. We can’t wait to see Megan shine at MediaCast. Good luck Megan!

Growth and expansion
Alongside our team, our client space has also seen growth, including an exciting global expansion. We’d like to welcome bidmysolar, icare and Orange Sky to our portfolio!

Speaking of growth, our broadcast superstar Olivia was promoted to Senior Account Executive to celebrate her two year anniversary with MediaCast and she celebrated by locking in three huge pieces of TV in one week … woohoo!

We are so very proud of how far Olivia has come in the last two years, from graduate to total PR pro. She is a true testament to hard work paying off and we love working alongside her everyday!

On the telly
This quarter, Olivia has kept busy securing, not one, but three top tier TV segments!

Highlights for the quarter include our new client, bidmysolar, featuring on A Current Affair,
a beautiful segment on Weekend Sunrise discussing the Miracle Babies Foundation, Miracle Moon Walk with mum Allison, and Dr Ginni discussing the new research funded by Shake It Up Australia.

Nine News Central West NSW also spoke with the lovely Nolan about the Miracle Moon Walk and 7NEWS Sydney interviewed Clyde Campbell from Shake It Up Australia Foundation for Pause 4 Parkinson’s. We filmed a Video News Release (VNR) with our client River Night from Developing Australian Communities which was picked up far and wide across the country and aired on 7NEWS Sydney, 7NEWS Toowoomba and WIN Tasmania.

In the paper

We crowned our Campaigns Manager the Queen of Print and Digital Coverage this quarter. Cavill, never fails to amaze us with her ability to woo journalists and secure articles in Australia’s biggest print publications.

Our highlights for the quarter include Fantastic Services Group featuring in the Daily Mail Australia, Domain and WAHP Business Australia. For the 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan, we had slimmer, Anthony’s revenge body story feature in The Courier Mail and for Miracle Babies Foundation, Kiara’s story for in Kidspot.com.au. Cavill also secured some fantastic journalist reviews for the recently launched myDNA from Arrotex which included write ups in both Woman’s Day and News.com.au!

It’s been a fantastic and jam-packed start to the year and we cannot wait to see what the rest of 2021 has in store. Stay tuned!

Best wishes,
The MediaCast team.
