Welcome back to all those keeping up with the happenings of the MediaCast team, and a warm hello to all new readers! As always, it’s been an extremely busy quarter at MediaCast, and we’re excited to share some of our big wins with you!

We’re currently recruiting for a new senior team member, we’ve scored ourselves a fantastic intern and we are proud to report one of our best quarters yet. Big things are happening so let’s get into it!

What a time to be at MediaCast!

We are pleased to report that this quarter, we reached dizzying heights and secured more than 3,500 items of coverage with an audience reach of over 143 million Australians across all our campaigns!

Our agency has grown exponentially having earned the highest September revenue ever recorded in MediaCast history. September 2021 was also our second-best month in terms of revenue in the agency’s six years of operation.

We welcomed a suite of new clients to the MediaCast family this quarter including:

  • Matific – an award-winning, digital resource for primary schools makes it easier for students to learn and more efficient for teachers to educate.
  • Crime Stoppers NSW – facilitates community-based programs to collect information to help police stop, solve and prevent crimes.
  • Classics for a Cause – a for-profit organisation holding giveaways for classic cars and donating the proceeds to support the Australian veteran community.
  • Ellinol – a Mediterranean wellness supplement, set to launch in Australia in the coming months (stay tuned for more on this one!)
  • The Pinnacle Foundation – a charity that offers scholarships to young LGBTIQ+ Australians to assist with their tertiary studies and connect them with mentors from a similar walk of life.
  • Quicko.com.au – a Sydney-based grocery delivery service which aims to take the hassle out of grocery shopping by having them delivered straight to your door in two hours or less.
Over the past three months, we’ve had the pleasure of collaborating and working alongside several new agencies, solidifying relationships across the country and helping brands get their messaging heard on radio stations across the country. Shoutout to our new agency partners!

Coverage of the Month

This quarter we introduced Coverage of the Month – to acknowledge and recognize exceptional coverage secured within the team. The winner receives a gift voucher for a bit of retail therapy and bragging rights for the following month.

Our marvellous Senior Account Executive, Amy, took the crown for the first two months. She secured The Daily Telegraph’s SmartDaily cover for Fantastic Services Group in June and the Australian Financial Review for Orange Sky in July.

You may remember our lovely new Account Executive, Jess! She has gotten off to a flying start in her first three months, having won Coverage of the Month in August with her story for Koenig Solutions which syndicated widely across Australia and the world with the Australian Associated Press network.

This motivating incentive has definitely started some healthy competition in the office, and we can’t wait to see who takes out the title in the final few months of this year.

How does she do it?

In other fabulous news, two members of the team have moved on up into new roles in the office!

Our former Campaigns Manager, Cavill, has been promoted to her shiny new role as Head of Delivery. As an essential part of the team, she is across all clients and campaigns in the agency and is the official ‘answerer’ of any and all questions. Her attention to detail as well as knowledge of the vast Australian media landscape is second to none.

Megan, formerly known as our Communications Coordinator, was also promoted during this quarter! She has now taken on the role of Junior Account Executive and helps to run campaigns for our clients, she’s particularly skilled at onboarding new agencies and walking them through our Radio Day campaigns without a hitch! Meg is an absolute ray of sunshine and a total pitching powerhouse.

Lock it in!

Once again, the delivery team has been smashing goals and securing exciting pieces of coverage for our clients. Here are a few of our highlights:

  • For Omnipod, we secured 7News and Nine News to raise awareness of new diabetes technology now available for Aussies living with type 1 diabetes.
  • We were delighted to have worked with Act for Kids again for Child Protection Week. We secured a phenomenal segment on The Project as well as an additional 14 pieces of TV. Overall, the campaign secured over 620 items of coverage with a reach of over 17 million people across Australia.
  • We secured coverage with Sunrise and Studio 10 for 1:1 Diet by Cambridge Weight Plan, which encouraged Australians to check in on their cholesterol health.
  • Orange Sky featured in the Australian Financial Review as well as the front cover of The Daily Telegraph’s SmartDaily in August.
  • For Gidget Foundation Australia, we secured an article in The Australian which discussed mental health concerns for new and soon-to-be parents under lockdowns.
  • For new client, Koenig Solutions, we secured a syndication with the Australian Associated Press with a story about ethical hacking and how the cybersecurity sector will be recruiting professionals to help combat ongoing cybercrimes in Australia.
  • We secured ABC Online for The Pinnacle Foundation which helped to spread the word and encourage young LGBTIQ+ Australians to apply for their 2022 round of tertiary scholarships.
 
Our new digs

In November, we will be bidding farewell to our Victoria Point office, packing up our computers and moving to an exciting new space in Eight Mile Plains! There has been many a move in the MediaCast history, but we’re planning on staying put, as we expand into a big new space that will allow us to grow the team without outgrowing the office! Keep an eye on our socials to see us settle into our new HQ!

It’s been an enormous few months for the team, with a huge roster of new clients and big campaigns. We’re exceedingly proud of the work we’re able to deliver week after week and look forward to ending this year on a high as we achieve even more in the next quarter.
