2020 second quarter update

MediaCast Team July 2020

GOODBYE 2020 and HELLOOO 2020 version 2.0. How has the MediaCast teamed summed up the first half of 2020?...wild!

This quarter the team experienced our fair share of laughter and stress but as we piled on the quarantine kilos (it’s an iso right of passage), we were hard at work delivering some epic campaigns, breaking not one, but two campaign records.

The team delivered coverage across TV, radio, print, digital and social channels, securing more than 3,700 items of coverage and communicating our clients’ key messages to over 150 million Aussies.

Smashing records!

Despite dealing with an unprecedented global crisis and a volatile media landscape, the team broke two campaign records this quarter! In May, we had the pleasure of working with the Tourette Syndrome Association of Australia again to drive awareness of Tourette Syndrome during their awareness week. The campaign was extremely well-received by the media and achieved a record breaking 544 items of coverage, reaching an estimated 40.9 million Australians!

This was quickly followed by our National Volunteer Week campaign with Volunteering Australia. With volunteers a much-needed resource during the COVID-19 pandemic, the campaign achieved an incredible 795 items of coverage, reaching an estimated 39.9 million Australians. With such incredible messaging driving both campaigns, our delivery team had an absolute blast selling these stories into the media and seeing them come to life. A huge thanks to all the amazing case studies and volunteers that shared their inspiring stories with us. *LOVE HEART EMOJI*

Growth

This quarter, we also welcomed new clients from a number of different industries including the not-for-profit sector, e-commerce and one of the big four banks.

We’d like to welcome Australian Sickle Cell Advocacy, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, CrowdStrike, Flora and Fauna, Gidget Foundation and The Snowdome Foundation to our portfolio of clients.

On the telly…

That’s a wrap!

From all of us here at MediaCast, we just wanted to say a big thanks for your support and a bloody well done to everyone for making it through the first half of 2020! We promise to stop using the phrase ‘unprecedented’ but we can’t guarantee we won’t keep using ‘now more than ever…’ SORRY BOUT IT!

Til next time folks,

Fran
